On 30th October 2014, Sekolah Menengah Sains Rembau was officially awarded the prestigious recognition of High Performing School (Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi or SBT). This is a historical achievement for our school, especially considering that SEMESRA first opened its doors only five years ago.
As an SBT, SEMESRA will receive greater autonomy in curricular, financial and staffing matters, as well as extra financial support from the ministry. The school will receive RM700,000 in its first year, RM500,000 in its second year and RM300,000 in subsequent years.

Congratulations to all members of SEMESRA, especially to Bonda Hajah Norzila and Ayahanda Dato' Haji Azam, our current and former principals respectively, as well as fellow teachers, staff, students, ex-students and everyone else for our great efforts finally paying off.
It was a proud moment for everyone currently and formerly affiliated with the school, as we witnessed SEMESRA take a huge step towards joining the ranks of the elite schools in the country. Therefore, we should not simply rest on our laurels, thinking that the job is done - instead, continue to strive towards making our alma mater one of, if not the top schools in the country.
